On June 24, 2026, the 23rd World Brand Conference and the Unveiling Ceremony of China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands were grandly held at the Grand Hyatt Beijing. World Brand Lab, an internationally recognized and authoritative brand evaluation institution, released the 2026 China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands Analysis Report.

This marks the 23rd time that World Brand Lab has assessed the influence of Chinese brands. In this annual report, which is based on financial data, brand strength, and consumer behavior analysis, Tencent topped the list of this year’s most valuable brands with a brand value of RMB 639.237 billion. The rest of the top five included Huawei (RMB 617.581 billion), Haier (RMB 616.296 billion), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (RMB 613.569 billion), and PetroChina (RMB 612.872 billion). These brands have firmly established themselves in the elite brand tier.
The total value of China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2026 reached RMB 45.29 trillion, an increase of RMB 3.26 trillion, or 7.76%, over the previous year, indicating a continued moderation in growth rate compared to previous years.
As World Brand Lab enters its 23rd year of compiling the Chinese brand report, the entry threshold was merely RMB 500 million in 2004, with the average value of the top 500 brands standing at RMB 4.943 billion. Twenty-three years later in 2026, the entry threshold has risen to RMB 5.089 billion, and the average value of the top 500 brands has soared to RMB 90.573 billion, representing a staggering growth of 1,732.35%. This year, a total of 146 Chinese brands recorded a value exceeding RMB 100 billion, an increase of 11 from last year, underscoring the prosperity of China’s brand economy.
BOOLKS has not only been consecutively selected for the most authoritative and highly recognized “National Team” of Chinese brands for ten years, but has also been named among the Top 100 Brands once again this year, solidifying its position as an undisputed leader in the home furnishing industry.
The theme of this year’s World Brand Conference was “Future Brand Management: From Brand Equity to Brand Science.”
Dr. Robert Dong, CEO of World Executive Group and World Brand Lab, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford, stated that future brand competition will no longer be merely about seizing mental real estate in consumers’ minds; it will be about leaving an indelible mark in the algorithmic mapping of AI. Whoever holds greater voice in the AI ecosystem holds the digital key to unlocking the next decade’s explosive brand value. For brand management, this is not just a technological revolution, but an upgrade in brand governance and value creation models. In a future dominated by AI agents and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), the consumer decision-making journey is shortened, with AI becoming the de facto gatekeeper of traffic. High AI influence means not only that a brand possesses greater voice, wider reach, and higher technological visibility within the AI ecosystem, but also that the brand has successfully transcended the barriers of traditional search engines.
Dr. Jing Xu, Professor of Marketing at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University (PKU), believes that in the era of digital intelligence, a brand is no longer just a “knowledge structure in the consumer’s mind,” but a complex system sustained by consumers, platforms, algorithms, content, communities, and organizational capabilities. The real question future brand management must answer is no longer just “how to enhance brand equity,” but “under new technological and social conditions, how can brands continue to serve as intermediaries of trust, meaning, and emotion.” Brands must do more than tell consumers “who we are”; they must help consumers understand why we are worthy of trust, why we are relevant to them, and why we still hold meaning among a multitude of answers.
